Welcome to the home of the Silver Lining podcast, a short weekly production about classic cinema. Each week we brush away the cobwebs and peer through a dusty looking glass into the realm of film’s past, celebrating a good old black-and-white relic.
But who is this podcast for, exactly? Well, it’s for you! That is, if you like classic cinema. Also, it’s for you if you don’t like classic cinema. Because you should. And by picking out a fantastic movie every week, this is the perfect primer to help you begin your classic movie education.
If you have kids, the same goes for them. They may not be familiar with Humphrey Bogart, Laurel & Hardy, the works of John Hurt…but by listening to this podcast, they will. Show ‘em these movies young, and they may learn to love them just as much as modern-day special effects extravaganzas. After all, it worked on me.
